Horton Hall

Horton Hall in Staffordshire is a manor house built on the site of an earlier house which dated from the 12th century. This was for a long time, the home of the Edge family. Damaged during the Civil War it was rebuilt in 1653 by Timothy Edge.

The present owner intends to add an orangery and to make sympathetic alterations in order that the house may meet modern requirements. A garage will also be built in the style of a roadside barn. Features of the house which have been lost or obscured will be restored and the gardenmaintained in a traditional style.

The models of Horton Hall were made to two scales.  The 1 : 50 model was finished in white to demonstrate the building and proposed extensions. A second 1 : 200 scale model in full colour included the gardens, paddock and coach house.
